Rather than simply scaling down the designs, advanced techniques ensure that every texture and feature is carefully preserved. Using precision sculpting and modern casting methods, these miniatures maintain the depth and artistry that define Edge Sculpture.

Crafted from the same marble-based stone casting material as the full-sized pieces, each miniature carries the same weight, texture, and premium quality. Hand-painted with the same expert techniques, including the distinctive verdi-gris finish of the Spartan, these small-scale sculptures are just as captivating as their larger counterparts.

North American Buffalo / Bison Bust – Brown & White

Launched in January 2025, the Brown and White Buffalo Busts are powerful new additions to the Edge Sculpture collection. Capturing the strength and majesty of the North American bison, these striking sculptures showcase intricate detail and dynamic form.

The rich, earthy tones of the Brown Buffalo Bust contrast beautifully with the rare and symbolic White Buffalo Bust, making them equally compelling as standalone pieces or a dramatic paired display. Illuminated Sculpture

The new Dragon Egg figures are a new and exciting addition to the range. They are the first Edge Sculptures to come complete with their own illumination. Once the sculpture is illuminated, it beautifully shows off the intricate sculpting and the dramatic colours of these mythical creatures.

Please note, that you must only illuminate your dragon with the lights provided. Please do not use tea lights or any other form of illumination as it will damage your dragon.

Edge Sculptures – How they are made

As many of our clients like to know how and where the sculptures are made, here are the details. Firstly, they are all made in the UK in Shropshire by the designer Matt Buckley and hand finished with the help of his talented team of artists.  They are perfect examples of contemporary sculptures that will become the collectables of the future.

Research & Design
Our creations evolve beyond sketches, taking shape on the turntable where artistic intuition guides each sculpt. By minimising reference materials, we rely on a keen aesthetic eye to bring life to every design.

Sculpting
A strong armature supports the dynamic energy of sculpting, allowing wet clay to be shaped with purposeful rawness. Precision in composition and engineering ensures each figure stands solidly, maintaining the ideal clay thickness for durability.

Moulding
Preserving the integrity of the original sculpture is paramount. The first rubber mould is crafted within a perfectly sealed case, designed to capture every detail. Carefully planned cut-lines and bleeds prevent air pockets before liquid rubber is expertly poured and set.

Casting
A specialised marble stone mixture is poured into the master mould and vacuum-treated to remove air bubbles. Once hardened, the first flawless cast is revealed, ready for refinement.

Fettling, Sandblasting & Levelling
Every piece undergoes meticulous cleaning to remove imperfections. Any multi-part components are assembled using steel pins, resin, and glue before being levelled and sandblasted to achieve the perfect surface for finishing.

Painting & Finishing
Returning to the Design Studio, each piece is carefully painted and refined. A Studio Master is created as the benchmark for all future production, ensuring consistency and exceptional quality in every finished piece.

Once is finalised the piece becomes a part of the range and is the pride of the sculpture and the development team.
