Edge Sculptures are the antiques and collectables of the future. Made in England by Sculptor Matt Buckley, they are thoughtfully sculpted with an emphasis on aesthetic design moulded with the mind’s eye.

The elephant is the largest land animal on earth and is one of the most unique looking creatures on the planet. They have a characteristic long nose or trunk with large ears, thick strong legs and long tusks that have evolved from teeth. The elephant’s tusks are used for gathering food, digging, lifting and defence. Sadly the unique ivory tusks have also made these beautiful creatures a target of poachers and have put elephants on the endangered list.

Not only are they unique in looks, but they are also one of the most intelligent creatures in the wild. Researches have found that elephants can display joy, love, anger, compassion and grief. Experts believe that the elephants emotional capacity knows no limits and their complex range of emotions even suggest that they act of feelings and not just survival instincts.

Female elephants live within tightly knit family groups that stay together for life whilst the males have a more solitary lifestyle. Our elephant sculpture will look great on display in your home on its own or if you have space, they will look equally good in a family group. There are two colours available, mocha as shown here and the white.

This sculpture is 394mm wide, 178m deep and 235mm high and perfectly captures the beauty and strength of these unique creatures. They will look great on any display cabinet, shelf or table. How Edge Sculptures are made

The original piece is moulded and given life from clay that is then expertly encapsulated in rubber to produce the parent mould.

The pieces are then cast from a durable composite granite and are vacuum sealed with a bleed as to remove compromising air bubbles from the structure. The curative period is then initiated and sustained until the structure is aptly hardened.

The piece is then meticulously examined and fettled as to outline the depth of detail and heighten the sculptures natural form. For finishing it is then passionately coloured, shaded and detailed by our expert artists; completing the creation of a masterpiece.
