Edge Sculptures are the antiques and collectables of the future. Made in England by Sculptor Matt Buckley, they are thoughtfully sculpted with an emphasis on aesthetic design moulded with the mind’s eye.
The domestic cat is a much-loved pet in many households, it is intelligent and generally fits in well with other pets and children. Cats can also be quite independent and when they have had enough tummy tickling they will be happy to find a quiet spot to sit on their own. Our sitting cat sculpture is in a typical cat pose, sitting up watching everything and missing nothing with its intelligent eyes and tail wrapped around its paws. The cat sculpture shown here is a white cat and we also have the cat sculpture in ginger and as a black and white.
The cat sculpture looks great when grouped together or will make a statement as a standalone piece. The seated cat; a must for any cat lover.
This sculpture is 300mm wide, 215m deep and 375mm high and will look great on any display cabinet, shelf or table. To see a 360° view of the sculpture, see the video below to get a full appreciation of this seated cat sculpture.
How Edge Sculptures are made
The original piece is moulded and given life from clay that is then expertly encapsulated in rubber to produce the parent mould.
The pieces are then cast from a durable composite granite and are vacuum sealed with a bleed as to remove compromising air bubbles from the structure. The curative period is then initiated and sustained until the structure is aptly hardened.
The piece is then meticulously examined and fettled as to outline the depth of detail and heighten the sculptures natural form. For finishing it is then passionately coloured, shaded and detailed by our expert artists; completing the creation of a masterpiece.
