Edge Sculpture Chameleon (Rainbow Pink)
The Edge Sculpture Chameleon (Rainbow Pink) figure is a remarkable addition to our reptile collection. Chameleons are unique and fascinating creatures that belong to the family Chamaeleonidae. They are known for their distinctive features, such as their long, curled tails, independently moving eyes, and the ability to change the colour of their skin. Chameleons are famous for their remarkable ability to change colour to blend in with their surroundings or communicate with other chameleons. They are also known for their long, sticky tongues, which they use to capture prey.
The sculpture is a 3D piece which means it can be viewed from any angle. It is also hollow allowing light to permeate through. This Chameleon is shown ready to grasp a caterpillar for its lunch!
If another male is present, a Chameleon will look aggressive and change to bright colours such as rainbow blue but if there is a predator around, it will become muted or subdued to help it hide. So our range of chameleons in various colours shows this beautiful creature in various shades it is capable of changing into. The Edge Sculpture range includes the original Green Chameleon, the Blue, the Orange and the very colourful Rainbow Blue.

How the Chameleon Edge Sculpture is made
The original piece is moulded and given life from clay that is then expertly encapsulated in rubber to produce the parent mould.
The pieces are then cast from a durable composite granite and are vacuum sealed with a bleed to remove compromising air bubbles from the structure. The curative period is then initiated and sustained until the structure is aptly hardened.
The piece is then meticulously examined and fettled to outline the depth of detail and heighten the sculpture’s natural form. For finishing it is then passionately coloured, shaded and detailed by our expert artists; completing the creation of a masterpiece.
