The impressive Golden Eagle Edge Sculpture forms part of the Birds collection from the Edge Sculpture range. Designed and craftsman made in England by the renowned and talented Sculptor Matt Buckley, this powerful Bald Eagle is thoughtfully sculpted with an emphasis on aesthetic design moulded with the mind’s eye. Each piece is thoughtfully designed and has a unique feel with a dramatic mix of form, colour, light and texture to faithfully represent the beauty and strength of the actual bird.

The powerful and majestic golden eagle is North America’s largest bird of prey and the national bird of Mexico. These birds are dark brown, with lighter golden-brown plumage on their heads and necks as perfectly captured in this impressive sculpture. They are extremely swift and can dive upon their quarry at speeds of more than 150 miles per hour.
Golden eagles stay with their mate for several years or possibly even for life. These majestic birds range from Mexico through much of western North America as far north as Alaska. They maintain territories that may be as large as 60 square miles. The Golden Eagle has an impressive wingspan of between 6 to 7.5 feet, our sculpture takes up a little less room at 380mm high and 280mm wide making it perfect to stand inside a display cabinet or atop a chest of drawers or sideboard. 

This sculpture truly represents the majesty and beauty of this amazing bird of prey and the sculpture will be a perfect addition to any collector of wildlife and birds of prey collection.

How The Golden Eagle Edge Sculpture is made

The original Golden Eagle Edge Sculpture is moulded and given life from clay that is then expertly encapsulated in rubber to produce the parent mould.

It is then cast from a durable composite granite and are vacuum sealed with a bleed as to remove compromising air bubbles from the structure. The curative period is then initiated and sustained until the structure is aptly hardened.

The bald eagle is then meticulously examined and fettled as to outline the depth of detail and heighten the sculptures natural form. For finishing it is then passionately coloured, shaded and detailed by our expert artists to carefully represent the bald eagle; completing the creation of a masterpiece
