Miniature Red Squirrel

Introducing the Latest Edge Sculpture Miniature

With its russet coat, bushy tail and inquisitive nature, the red squirrel is one of Britain’s most charming native mammals. Once common throughout the UK, red squirrels are now found in only a handful of protected areas, making every sighting a special occasion for wildlife enthusiasts.

Known for their agility, these energetic creatures spend much of their time darting through woodland canopies in search of seeds, nuts and pine cones. Their playful character and unmistakable appearance have made them a favourite with nature lovers for generations.

The new Miniature Red Squirrel from the Edge Sculpture collection perfectly captures the spirit and personality of this much-loved woodland resident. Designed by Matt Buckley, each sculpture begins as an original clay model before being cast in a marble stone blend and individually hand-painted by skilled artists. Compact yet full of character, this beautifully detailed piece makes a wonderful gift for wildlife lovers or an eye-catching addition to any Edge Sculpture collection.

Edge Sculpture Miniatures carry forward the bold style of Matt Buckley’s full-scale originals while offering the convenience of a smaller format. Each piece is cast in the same marble-based stone material, then hand painted to highlight depth, tone, and texture. Advances in sculpting techniques have made it possible to reproduce intricate details at this reduced size, while careful adjustments ensure the sculpture remains faithful to the spirit of the original. Presented in a matt black box with a silver foil Edge logo, the Miniature Golden Eagle Bust is both a highly collectable piece and a unique gift.

The Miniature Collection includes wonderful creatures such as the Orangutan and Baby, Giraffe Bust, Gorilla Bust, Bay Horse Bust, Lion Bust, Sea Turtle Bust, T Rex Bust, Venus Bust, Wolf Bust, Spartan Bust and a Penguin with its young at its feet.
