Choosing your mattress

Our range of pocket sprung mattresses are more luxurious, as they are made from individual, small springs housed in their own pocket of fabric. This is a good option if you’re looking for a bed for two people, as the separate springs will cater for your different needs and weights, while they will also minimise the risk of you rolling towards your partner in the middle of the night. This means each spring moves independently, providing more support than open spring mattresses.

The Brassington range is available in medium or firm with the remainder of the range in one version. The best way to find out your type of mattress is to visit our showroom and try them out.

A medium mattress is ideal for those who move around at night as it will still offer support as you move and a firm mattress is better for users with back problems that need better support.’

Choosing your Oak Bed

Your bed is of course the most important factor in getting a great night’s sleep. With beds, size really does matter especially when it’s a bed for two to share!  With a large bed, you are less likely to disturb your partner. Ideally, you should be able to lie side by side, with your arms behind your head and your elbows out, without touching. Your bed should also be 4-6in (10-15cm) longer than the tallest partner – anyone over 6ft (1.8m) tall should consider a bed longer than standard.

Of course, space in your bedroom is a factor in choosing a bed and we would advise that you carefully measure the space before buying any bed frame. A useful tip when buying any big piece of furniture is to make a template the size of the product from cardboard or paper. You can then see any spare floorspace and plan bedside tables, chests of drawers, dressing tables and wardrobes.

Hardwick Light Oak Beds

The Hardwick range of oak beds is designed with traditional 18th-century styling with reflections of the ever-popular shaker style. The Hardwick range has a clean-lined design and will look great in any type of home including an apartment, modern/new build home, a traditional house or period property.

The Hardwick Oak bed range includes a single, double, king-sized and a stunning 6ft super king. All Hardwick beds are solidly made and are not a flat-packed DIY project, each bed arrives at your home fully built and ready to go.  The large headboard made from American Oak is perfect to relax upon whilst enjoying a bedtime drink, reading or watching TV. The slats on the base where your mattress of choice will sit are solid and are screwed to the base individually making the bed strong and durable.

Talbot Oak Bed Range

The Talbot Oak range is constructed from light oak and incorporates minor farmhouse detailing in a subtle manner to give a modern design that looks great in any type of home.

The range includes a double bed, a king-sized bed and a super spacious super king-sized bed. Magnus Industrial Oak

Painted Bed Frames

The Kinsley Range

The Kinsley range is a painted finish and has three styles of bed in a single, double, king-sized and super king. The three styles are a low foot end, a footboard with a headboard and a glamourous sleigh bed. The colours available are Cobblestone – a soft cream colour, Grey, a soft pale grey and the ever-popular White.

Kinsley beds are available in three designs as shown below. There is a sleigh bed, a slatted head and footboard design and a solid headboard with no footboard.

Greystone Oak

Greystone oak is a modern looking range based on classic styling with a panelled headboard and no footboard, perfect for taller people! The oak beds are available as Grey painted with a natural oak top to the headboard and whitewashed oak which is an on-trend finish for 2022.

Delivery

We personally deliver in the local area using our own trusted team so you can be sure your furniture will arrive in tip-top condition. We will also deliver your new furniture to the room it is required, we don’t doorstep drop and run!

You are of course more than welcome to pick items up from our showroom if you have room in your car. Many customers will take smaller items like lamp tables or bedside tables home in their own car. We will of course help you carry the package out to your car.

Opening Hours

We are open Tuesday to Saturday from 9.30 am to 5.30 pm and are closed Sunday and Monday.

If you are visiting us to look at a specific piece of furniture and want to be sure we have it on display, just give us a call before travelling and we can check what we have in stock for you.
