New Edge Sculptures added to the collection in 2022
As there has been quite a fair amount of activity from the Matt Buckley at Edge Sculpture studios of late, we thought we’d do a quick round-up of the newest sculptures added in 2022 so far.
We thought we’d start with the most recent and work our way back.
Edge Sculpture Highland Cow Bust
This latest new Edge Sculpture was announced earlier this week and will be available in October 2022. As of this week, you can pre-order from our website so your Highland Cow Bust will be reserved for you. We are expecting this one to be very popular as there has already been a demand and energy for this sculpture. The Highland cow has been much captured in art, either photographs, paintings or sculptures. So was the demand for it, that Matt has added it to the range.
It is available in the traditional red featuring its long thick coat and floppy fringe, although our Edge cow can see through its fringe as Matt thought it important to see its eyes!

Elf Bust – Ancient Folklore,
Spartan Warrior – Ancient warrior
Green man Bust – Ancient Legend
The Limited Edition 50’s are a trio of ancient legends that are soon to be retired. The team at Edge have designed these three in new colours and finishes to say a fond farewell to the designs.

The Elf Bust
The Elf Bust was also added in the past couple of weeks. This new Elf bust joins the existing Elves in Aqua and Leaf, perfect to add to a mythical collection. She has piercing eyes and a beautiful face. This piece just like the Spartan and Green man has a weathered antiqued finish.
Elves originate from Germanic mythology and English folklore and are featured in many books and films such as Lord of The Rings. Elves represent power and knowledge in folklore. The Edge Elf Bust Ancient Folklore would make a perfect centrepiece of any display in a home or business. It is also the ideal gift for anyone who is interested in ancient folklore.
Spartan Warrior – Ancient warrior
The Spartan warrior makes a powerful statement and was a skilled warrior. They were especially known for being such an effective fighting force, that they were able to fight against armies that were much larger in size than them.
Matt wanted the piece to have an antique weathered appearance to really emphasise the ancient qualities. The warrior’s helmet has a gold patina which is added with a hand-finished stippled technique.

Green man Bust – Ancient Legend
Added to the Mythical range is the mystical Green Man bust. The legend of the Green Man of the woods is centuries old and is generally associated with Spring and May Day celebrations. He is that strange, wild man of the woods, he is the vibrant spirit of the wildwood, of vegetation in leaf or bud, of spring, pool and river, earth and sky, indeed the totality of nature.
The Green man is available to pre-order and will be available in-store and online very soon.

Baby Chimpanzee:
“Hear no Evil”
“See no Evil”
“Speak no Evil”
The stunning Edge Sculpture Baby Chimpanzee “Hear no Evil” which has been part of the collection for a while now has two new companions, “Speak no Evil” and “See no Evil“, these two new sculptures were added to the range for Spring 2022 and are now available online and instore.
The three baby chimps are based upon the Japanese proverb, “hear no evil, see no evil, speak no evil”, but with a playful twist.
The three cheeky chimps make a wonderful display when grouped together or will sit happily with other baby animal edge sculptures.
African Tree Frogs and Chameleons

African tree Frogs
Launched in March 2022, the African Tree Frog collection is probably one of the most colourful collections added recently. They form part of a collection of reptiles to which three colourful Chameleons also belong.
When developing the Tree Frogs Matt and the design team came up with no less than eight options. To narrow down the choices, they held an online poll for people to vote for their favourite. The results were as follows:
1st Green, this colour was a clear winner by a good margin.2nd Rainbow Green, with shades of lilac and purple, was a studio favourite and popular with voters
3rd Blue, popular with the voters, blue came in third which was no surprise to the team
4th Orange, a colourful creation that the team thought would be voted higher up the list!
5th The yellow spotty, a surprising choice
Not quite making the cut were the yellow, rainbow blue and pink. You can see them all in the image below. The ones on the turntable were voted most popular.

Colourful Chameleons
The new Chameleons added were Orange, Blue and Rainbow Blue. This is in addition to the existing Green Chameleon. The Chameleon collection has been designed to sit perfectly as a display with any of the Tree Frogs as they sit upon the very same branch as shown below.

You are of course more than welcome to pick up your sculpture from our showroom, where you can browse the full collection of Edge Sculptures.
Opening Hours
We are open Tuesday to Saturday from 9.30 am to 5.30 pm and are closed Sunday and Monday.
