Ideally, your bedroom should be a no-go zone for technology, but in these days of working from home being normal, very often the bedroom is the best quiet space in the house to work especially if you have children homeschooling.

We would strongly advise that at the end of the working day, pack away your laptop and any other work materials so when you do go to bed you are not being reminded of that pesky report you have to finish! Choosing your Oak Bed

Your bed is of course is the most important factor in getting a great night’s sleep. With beds, size really does matter especially when it’s a bed for two to share!  With a large bed, you are less likely to disturb your partner. Ideally, you should be able to lie side by side, with your arms behind your head and your elbows out, without touching. Your bed should also be 4-6in (10-15cm) longer than the tallest partner – anyone over 6ft (1.8m) tall should consider a bed longer than standard.

Of course, space in your bedroom is a factor in choosing a bed and we would advise that you carefully measure the space before buying any bed frame. A useful tip when buying any big piece of furniture is to make a template the size of the product from cardboard or paper. You can then see any spare floorspace and plan bedside tables, chests of drawers, dressing tables and wardrobes.

It is important to have sufficient storage, so everything has a place resulting in it being very easy to keep your bedroom tidy as a tidy room makes for a tidy mind and a restful night’s sleep! One option if you are lucky enough to have a spare room not needed for anyone, use it to keep larger furniture in like wardrobes if they will not fit in your own bedroom.

The Kinsley Range

The Kinsley range is a painted finish and has three styles of bed in a single, double, king-sized and super king. The three styles are a low foot end, a footboard with a headboard and a glamourous sleigh bed. Colours available are Cobblestone – a soft cream colour, Grey, the palest of classy greys and the ever-popular White.

Greystone Oak

Greystone oak is a modern looking range based on classic styling with a panelled headboard and no footboard, perfect for taller people!
