About the Rhinoceros

Rhinoceroses are among the largest land mammals, known for their thick protective skin and impressive horn. Despite their formidable appearance, rhinos are generally solitary and peaceful grazers, spending much of their time feeding on grass and other vegetation. Sadly, they are also one of the most endangered groups of animals in the world, facing threats from habitat loss and poaching. Their horns, which are made of keratin rather than bone, have led to widespread hunting. Rhinos play an important role in maintaining the balance of their ecosystems, and their survival is crucial for biodiversity. With their resilience and quiet strength, they have become a global symbol of conservation.
